A brief study of Singapore's National Gallery. I'm a huge fan of the building's architecture and interior experience.
Tree-like structures extend to the ceiling, and are capped by a stretch of steel perforated to mimic leaf cover. These awe-inspiring interventions (designed by studioMilou) connect the historic City Hall and Supreme Court buildings and pay homage to the tropical climate of Southeast Asia.
A gorgeous visual contrast is also created between the high-tech parametricism of studioMilou's design and the austere neoclassical ornamentation of the restored buildings.
